One thing the writer needs to change is the reference to tampons. Sixty years from now young women such as the character Renee will not be using them.

TWO CENTS WORTH of THOUGHTS on SLEEPING & WAKING

A production of note is a new play to be found at the black box space known as Theatre On The Run in Arlington. Charter Theatre is presenting Chris Stezin's SLEEPING & WAKING thru June 2. ... The story takes place 60 years in the future when it is possible to attach a human head to a donor body. ... But what is lost to the individual when his is the head in question? And what is the impact on the friends and loved ones of this procedure? ... I guess some might label this play "science fiction." Then there are those that would put it on the "science reality" shelf. ... As a new piece of writing I thought it worked quite well under the direction of Keith Bridges. .. Under the sure handed direction of Mr.Bridges, Ian LeValley gives the main character a wonderfully believable reading that is the best work by this actor in a long, long time. ... The other four actors in the roles of wife, lover, mother, and friend are covered very well. ...

This is another production that gets a solid endorsement from this theatergoer. ...

It was announced after the weekend matinee that I attended that all seats thru closing
2nd June will now be PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN.
