Nothing came off better than "The Phantom" Movie. The actors, the scenes, the color, the story, the love. It was beautiful, and the Phantom so generously portrayed by Gerard Butler. AND everyone who enjoys Gerry and follows his career would never accept anyone but Gerard starring in the sequel and Christine Daae portrayed by Emmy Rossum. In reference to "The Phantom of Manhattan" (the sequel proposed by Andrew Lloyd Webber) I read the book and out of all of the books written after the original, this one was the worst. The Phantom is Gerard Butler and anyone on the stage is no comparison.
Just my thoughts. Got any better ones!!

FINALLY got to see "Phantom," and I really loved it. It was deliciously gaudy at times, and hauntingly tender at other times. The cast was great. The set changes and pyrotechnics were impressive to watch, and the orchestra put forth such fabulosity that I often found myself staring down into the pit. That big ol' chandelier looked like one of those gussied up oriental lanterns you find for decorating the back yard for a really cool summer party. But that was okay, because the audience was impressed by the way in which it played its role!
