She sings. She acts. She climbs up the sides of houses. She does full splits. She is Felicia Curry, a powerhouse of talent, and one of the nicest actresses, singers and human beings I have had the privilege of knowing.

Reefer Madness Latest Summertime Hit to Extend

There is one more week to catch Reefer Madness at Studio Theatre. The show, slated to close August 12th, was granted a last minute extension Sunday night and now closes August 19th.  Studio Theatre, of course, saw similar popular demand for Souvenir.  Meanwhile, Olney Theatre is packing them in as well. Democracy and Godspell both were extended, and Brooklyn Boy, who, after two extensions, now has its closing night on August 12th .

With 19,000 tickets sold to Capital Fringe,  shows like MetroStages’ Three Sistahs and Washington Shakespeare’s Private Lives opening early, crowds turning out for Signature’s summer Open House and theatres extending their runs, it’s obvious that not even Washington’s sweltering heat can keep DC’s theatre loving crowd at home.
