FREE NIGHT OF THEATER, locally organized and sponsored by the League of Washington Theaters, is back and bigger than ever with 17 theatres offering 21 productions. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct 1^st at noon.  For those who don’t remember, last year’s tickets were swooped up almost immediately.

But before you get ready to reserve those seats for yourself, think about this:  FREE NIGHT is our one chance a year to expose new people to all the vibrant theater we enjoy year round. The theaters make the seats available hoping to see new faces and broaden our theater going audience.

So  we hope you will make a few calls or send a few emails: to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers – all those people you had been wishing were sitting beside you last season.  Tell them to go online to make a reservation.  Maybe recommend a show or two you think they will like. But remember – one person can reserve only one pair of tickets for the entire event. 

The race to reserve tickets begins this Monday, October 1^st,  starting at noon.

FREE NIGHT OF THEATER 2007 is a nationwide program sponsored by Theatre Communications Group (TCG), publishers of American Theater Magazine.  The national FREE NIGHT is Thursday, October 18. Washington’s performances start October 9 and end November 4^th.
