		<description>This production was very professionaly done and technically competent in terms of set/costumes/acting, but exceedingly tedious and a complete artistic flop - we left at intermission.  The Shakespeare Theater is known for, and should stick to, infusing old works with a current and artistically creative interpretation that keeps the structure, purpose and beauty of the original viewed through a new prism.  

This production was like very good community theater, and little more.  Exquisitely crafted "period" sets and costumes, and acting, left this production feeling very, very stale, and without any artistic vision.   We know the theater consistently hits its mark under Kahn's leadership, but if this type of production becomes more frequent, we won't be going as often.  Just our two cents...</description>
