Have you not done your research? That's EXACTLY what would Ionesco would have <strong>not</strong> wanted. He wrote plays like this one to shy away from that. He did not want art to be a realistic representation of day-to-day life. Instead, he wanted art to be a distortion of it. The director made the right decision in having the acting being anything but realistic. More naturalistic, believable human behavior? Have you not done your research?
