Ms. Wight is outstanding -- and in a discussion afterwards -- indicated that she ad libs at times -- but it's the set and sound that deserve equal kudos. I'd put the last paragraph first.

If you're a fan of this actor and enjoy books on CD, the Lansburgh is selling copies of the Bible which he's read aloud.

This production is not for the squeamish and certainly is for those w/ an ironic sense of humor.

I saw this show off-Broadway in November and was similarly impressed, both with the performance of Ms. Wight and the show generally. It's a positive mark for the DC threatre scene that we would have the rare early opportunity to see this show outside of NYC. Lately we've had an embarassment of riches to choose from, but I would recommend trying to fit this show into your schedule if you have any interest at all.
