What else to say that I could possibly add? Except, as always...keep em comin, bubby, you are well on your way to being not just DC's most underappreciated theatre treasure...but maybe the country's? Anyway, Joel always lends himself to lots of hyperbole! Will somebody pay this guy for what he does, already?

I have to disagree with Lee... I think this and any other interview with Ms. Rivera always shows us that SHE may be a celebrity, but she is just a down to earth, genuine human being. She is the epitome of what a human being can be, aside from her remarkable performing ability. She's is INCREDIBLE.

The first Marilyn Monroe impersonator in New York was Chita Rivera??? That the very dark, lithe and Latina Ms.Rivera essayed Marilyn is just one of the surprises in Joel's podcast with Chita Rivera and her long-standing agent Richard Seff. The 23 minutes spent categorically and once and for all answer the age old question of whether celebrities are just like us. Listen to Chita and you'll find out for certain they're not.

JOEL:

I thoroughly enjoyed your interviews with Richard and Chita. This is your best work yet. You never stop topping yourself. They were both obviously very relaxed speaking with you and impressed with your knowledge of their backgrounds and of the show. Thanks for sharing this great down-to-earth lady with us.

Wonderful interview, Richard and Joel. What a privilege to get to listen to Chita Rivera talk about The Visit and her career. I'm going to see The Visit again Wednesday, and it will be great knowing the full story of how the show ends.

As a Chita fan who has followed her from West Side Story, thank you for capturing the real Chita for her fans. I love these interviews.

What fantastic interviews Joel and Richard! You are a great team indeed. To hear Chita and Richard talk about her career and their friendship made me smile and yearn for the days when Broadway was filled with Broadway legends like Ms. Rivera. I urge everyone to listen to them. I just bought 3 tickets to see The Visit. Bravo to DC Theatre Scene for these wonderful, funny, heartwarming and inciteful interviews.
