I liked the props: particularly the sliding door set piece. The story got a little confusing at times for me. The woman was energetic throughout. The man seemed less so in the beginning, but he got livelier as the show progressed--probably because his character was less energetic before. A couple of the songs were funny. I had adequate legroom. Also, from anywhere in the theatre, the view was excellent. The theatre also wasn't hot or stuffy. The writer of the play was very friendly and personable--my wife and I had met him for the first time right before the show, and we chatted like old pals. The men's room was clean and well-supplied. In general, Rooms is a great play to go to if you like musicals that rock.

Just got back from seeing this terrific show. It was absolutely amazing!!!! Best play I've seen in YEARS! The characters are well-developed, the actors are brilliant. The songs are memorable and really fit well into the show--they seemed very natural to the story--not like some plays I've seen that had poor transitions between dialogue and songs. I don't really have anything bad to say about this production--set was perfect, costumes, lighting everything top-notch. I don't want to give away anything, but at one point all the women in my aisle were tearing up and sniffling--good stuff.

I have a Bachelor's in directing, and must say that the directing was just right--not too heavy-handed or stagey--there were some really beautiful moments. This is the first show I've seen at MetroStage, but I will definitely be back for more!

Joel: You made me feel the excitement of the room when you visited a rehearsal on Sunday, and I was already excited to be bringing this amazing show to MetroStage. The talent, the creative team, the actors, music...and wait til you see the set, costumes and lights. You really captured the experience, and I hope everyone jumps at the opportunity to see this show before it moves on to Rochester and then, if all goes according to schedule, NYC.
