We have created a noir comedy titled A View from the Bar, set in Sal’s Black Box Bar & Grill and at the Audience Choice Awards ceremony across the street, where you’ll hear the nominees announced, the winners declared, and the winning performers accept their awards.
So now, tune in to hear what happens when a frequent visitor to DC Theatre Scene hires actor/private eye Hashiell Dammit to get her the inside scoop on the Audience Choice Awards.
DC Theatre Scene proudly presents our first Radio Theatre production: A View from the Bar.
PS: Our play contains 16 tributes to DC shows or producers. Can you guess them? And no, the nominations and acceptance speeches don’t count.

Great job with “A View from the Bar”! It was really fun to listen to! It was also a trill to be nominated along side so many wonderful, and legendary actresses! Thanks so much DC Theatre Scene and thanks Joel and Lorraine.

Any chance the results can be written out? I loved this avant-garde presentation, but I’d like a quick resource to see all the winners without having to listen and write each down. Many thanks again to all at DC Theatre Scene for putting these lovely awards (and show presentation) together!

It’s great to see someone from the wee masterpiece, The Studio, was recognized! I wish The Studio had been a nominee for best play I could have voted for it.
