I saw this show on Saturday and it was beautifully done demonstration about the role of family, culture, and tradition and the issues that arise when changes happen (as well as analyses of what causes those changes). I applaud the taking of risks and doing what needed to be done- have the last scene in Spanish- to show the transition. I could have done without the audible complaining from nearby audience members about not being able to understand. I speak Spanish but even if I did not, it would not be hard to grasp what was happening if one, you know, actually paid attention and used a brain.

Beautiful, inspired script and production. Round House should be proud of this ground breaking new work. It's a piece that washes over you and lingers in your mind. How wonderful to see so many wonderful rich roles for women. I've met Karen Zacarias once, and have tried to see all her plays. I think our city is lucky to have a playwright of her depth and generosity. She is a unique and vibrant voice.
