I saw this production last night with a group of ten people, and I can honestly say that it was as good or better than the production I saw when I wrote the review above. One of our party had never seen a play before, and I'm afraid that Forum has spoiled her for good -- she'll forever be measuring what she sees in the future against this astonishing production. Haney was as good as Glauber was in the original, which was very good indeed, and every one of these excellent actors was at the top of his or her game. I was particularly impressed with Jason McCool, who was even better as Judas than he was when I saw him the first time...an absolutely riveting portrayal which was at once moving and terrifying. Without pretense and -- let's be honest -- at twenty bucks a throw, Forum has unobtrusively become one of the most important companies in Washington.

this play and all the actors in it, including cesar guadamuz who played two roles and was thoroughly engaging in both, gave amazing performances of an impeccably written script. technically the show was equally impressive in its simplicity. this is a true piece of theatre of a caliber which is rarely seen in dc and it closes this week so go see it.
