With all due respect, quirkiness is fine. Fringyness is great. But presenting a show that has no more than 15 minutes of actual developed material padded by improvisational meanderings in a mask or with a "puppet" does not rate a review of a 4. Normaly I would not say anything, as I welcome and celebrate people presenting what they have to share. But this is the only review I have seen on this piece, and I would hate to have viewers infer that the quality of this production is what they could expect in other festival shows. Unless it has gotten much better since I saw it last week, the highest I would ever rate "Farty Johnson" is a 2. It would be interesting to see Ms. Krauss' work in a more developed state.
