I posted this comment in a general space, but felt obliged to repost it here. the 5 star main review is mystifying. I am in agreement with Gene Barnes.

Too experimental for me. I left at the intermission, as did most of the rest of the people who didn’t leave before intermission. The opening bit was an incomprehensible bit of I-don’t-know-what performed in SLOW MOTION. That’s what drove the first group of people to leave. It got slightly better thereafter, but not good enough to keep me there. My best guess is that this play was part of some theatre clinical trial designed to see what an audience would put up with before leaving. On that scale, the show was a success. Otherwise, it get a very generous 1 star from me.

Well, the troupe has safely gone back to NYC now, so it isn't like your review will make any difference to those wondering if they should see it.

Just as well though, because:

No, no, no, no.

No.

This show was a self-indulgent piece of crap, and (at the performance I attended anyway) the cast was insufficiently professional to raise their voices above the sound of the fans, which were insanely, hopelessly trying to remove all the hot air the performers created.

Basically, this is performance/installation art devoid of -- oh, if it were only a matter of devoid of genius, but this was devoid of basic COMPETENCE. I am jealous of the folks who chose to leave in the first act, but I so wanted to give these people a chance (I like experimental theater). Silly me.

You gave this show a "5" rating?

If you look up in the air, you will see your credibility flying away, to burn up as it nears the sun.
