Les Mis Teen Professional Company and TYA, Jr auditions Feb 13 – 17

Drama Learning Center is pleased to announce upcoming auditions for DLC’s Teen Professional Company, Teaching Young Actors (TYA), and their production of Les Miserables February 13-17, 2012. Auditions for Drama Learning Center’s Jr. Company will also be held on the same dates. Grade-eligible auditionees will be considered for placement in either company.

Available by audition only, the TYA class allows students to work in a professional theatre environment as they learn about all aspects of theatrical work.

T.Y.A. Teen Professional Company- Les Miserables School Edition

Auditions: By appointment February 13-17, callbacks March 3

Performance Dates: June 15-24

Eligible grades: 8-12 & TYA alums

T.Y.A. Junior Company – Song and Scene Showcase

Auditions: By appointment February 13-17

Performance Date: May 3

Eligible grades: 6-10

To Audition

1. Call 410-997-9352 to set up an audition time.

2. Prepare a song of your choice (sheet music required) and a 2 minute monologue.

3. Fill out TYA audition form, rehearsal conflict sheet, and read and sign the UPDATED TYA expectation sheet. You will not be able to audition without completed paperwork. Forms can be found at http://www.dramalearningcenter.com/tya.html

4. Bring the forms to your audition along with a recent picture.


Lorraine Treanor About Lorraine Treanor

Lorraine Treanor has been editor of DC Theatre Scene since 2006. She has produced plays and concerts in her hometown of Chicago, and twice in the Capital Fringe festival. Her daughter Nina Norris is an artist working in Chicago. Life's a blast because she shares it with writer Tim Treanor.
