PWYC new play reading, Sat. Dec 29 at 8pm

Time for one more reading this year?

Flying V Theatre (remember Me and Devil Blues?) will be performing a reading of a new play, The Library, by company member Lee August Praley.  Synopsis: a young man visits the original library in Alexandria, Egypt in search of a lost and mysterious book and ends up trapped, led around by Dewey Decimal, where he encounters famous literary and historical figures while on his quest. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Jason Schlafstein. Featuring Zachary Fernebok and Katie Nigsch-Fairfax with Kyle Encinas, Caitlin Smith Griffin, Katie Jeffries, and Doug Wilder.

“This is an entirely new work’s first time being presented – so we’re pretty stoked. We are work shopping on Thursday, rewriting on Friday, and then rehearsing and performing on Saturday night. So having an audience is an essential part of this process.”

At The Writer’s Center, 4508 Walsh Street Bethesda, MD 20815 – with both street parking, and metro accessibility.
