Signature Theatre gets in the Shakespeare spirit with $25 Stalls tickets

Joe Calarco’s groundbreaking play Shakespeare’s R&J breaks new ground again when it opens in the theatre more accustomed to the sights and sounds of Sondheim.  Signature Theatre is producing the play (it’s first Shakespeare) in the round and in the MAX theatre. Performing the 4 actor play in the round means house seating will be expanded to around 250 seats. That allowed Signature staff to do some thinking about how to make the play available to as many people as possible. And thus was hatched the discount deal known as the Shakespeare Stalls. A limited number of seats which would normally sell for between $39 to $60 are being set aside for every performance.  They’re pricing them at $25, in special sections – aisle seats, close to the doors.

It’s a fluid plan with locations and quantity open to change. But two things remain constant:  they have reserved at least 24 seats for every performance, and they are available on a first come, first served basis.

These discounted seats can be purchased in advance at the Signature Box Office or by phone at 703 820 9771, pending availability. You can also purchase tickets online using code STALLS. Signature Theatre is located at 4200 Campbell Ave. Arlington, Virginia 22206.
