Backstage with Shakespeare Theatre’s youngest star

The “star” of one of the most popular plays this season only appears on the stage for a few minutes, has no lines of dialogue, and doesn’t take questions from the press.  Worse still, this is almost certain to be her only show; so when her run is finished, you will never get another chance to see her perform on stage. Think theater’s not affordable? AET commits to $10 tickets

Selecting the recipients for the Gary Lee Maker Award

The Gary Lee Maker Award is intended for the mostly unrecognized supporter – the sort of person every theater wants in its audience — one who laughs freely, applauds enthusiastically, speaks well of theatre and its practitioners, gives a supportive word or a sympathetic ear to theater artists, and in general gives a return to the art worth many times the price of a ticket.
