A Return Visit with Broadway Pundit Richard Seff
By Joel Markowitz
I sat down with Actor/Agent/Author/Librettist Richard Seff in his Upper East Side penthouse to discuss the current and upcoming Broadway season – shows he has liked or disliked, shows he is looking forward to, and actors performing now who are the stars of tomorrow.
Richard comments on the stagehands strike which began two days before this podcast, and ends the interview with his favorite moment from My Fair Lady, where he played Colonel Pickering. What a loverly moment! What’s the one DC show that will coax him out of New York?

I was so happy with Joel Markowitz’ interview with me in November that I’ve accepted an invitation to do an occasional column for this site immediately after January 1, to comment on the shows I’ve seen in New York, on their casts, on their backstage shenanigans, on whatever I run into dealing with the New York theatre scene. I hope you all enjoy it, and I’m delighted to be a part of this wonderful site. Who knows? Perhaps there’ll be enough going on to allow me to have a crack at Volume Two of “Supporting Player”. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year to one and all. Richard Seff .
What a delightful man, Richard Seff. Thank you both. I always learn something new from Joel’s pod casts. And from Seff’s book. Rosalind
