As announced in BroadwayWorld, Sh-K-Boom Records will be recording the cast album of Next to Normal in mid-February. The Off-Broadway hit won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Score, and, among other nominations, received Drama Desk and Other Critics Circle nods to Alice Ripley for Outstanding Leading Actress in a musical. Authors Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey took the unusual step of bringing the show to DC for rewrites following its NYC debut. Next to Normal ended its Arena Stage run Jan 18th.
