On Monday, June 29th, NT Live will broadcast the London performance of Jean Racine’s Phèdre to Shakespeare Theatre. This is the same National Theatre of Great Britain production with Helen Mirren in the title role which will perform in a short run at Shakespeare Theatre later in the year and for which tickets sold out in 5 days.
This inaugural broadcast of the June 25th performance from the National Theatre will be transmitted to 50 independent screens in the Uk, with another 100 foreign venues receiving the one time only broadcast around the world.
Tickets ($22) to the international broadcast screening at Sidney Harman Hall went on sale Friday, May 15th and were still available as of this writing. Purchase online or call 202 547-1122.
