It’s almost her own personal Fringe. The lauded actress Lise Bruneau – you’ve seen her most recently in Arena Stage’s Legacy of Light – is getting ready to appear in two roles in two weeks with two companies.
This week, you can see her in Theater J’s Seagull on 16th Street while Naomi Jacobson does her Fellowship at the Lunt Fontanne Estate (studying with Lynn Redgrave). Lise performs the role of Arkadina July 15, 16, and 18. Naomi returns to close the production on Sunday, July 19.
Next week, July 21 – 26, Lise performs in the closing week of Shakespeare Theatre’s King Lear, taking over the role of Goneril for Kim Martin-Cotton who leaves to join the Broadway Tour of August: Osage County.
Her work is also represented at the Capital Fringe. She directed Freakshow, which earned a Pick of the Fest from DCTS writer Jessica Pearson.
