With so much good theatre being offered in the Washington area, the question becomes, not should we go, but how often can we possibly manage it? And with food and gas prices on the rise, how can we stretch our entertainment budget to catch that new show that sounds interesting.
A casual remark last Friday from an Artistic Director about empty seats got us thinking: what about those ticket deals buried on all the theatre’s Web sites? So we started digging, and came up with some deals that were a big surprise. For example, did you know you can get discounts if you a) work for a nonprofit or b) live or work in southwest DC? or c) ride the Metro? Or that if you buy a ticket, your children, including teenagers, can attend free?
As a service to our readers, DCTS has just compiled a sortable guide to all ongoing tickets deals in the area. Find it here and click the column “If you are …”. See how many deals you qualify for.
And we continue to keep you updated on one time deals at Cheap Seats.
See you in the theatre.
