Bernadette Peters, although not nominated for Follies, will receive the Isabelle Stevenson Award.
The Broadway productions of Clybourne Park and Venus in Fur, seen here the past year at Woolly Mammoth and Studio Theatre respectively, will compete for the Best Play award.
Here’s the complete list of this year’s nominees.
Neil Patrick Harris returns to host the 2012 Tony Awards, on Sunday, June 10, starting at 8pm on CBS.
The Best Revival of a Play also holds special interest for the DC area. Master Class, starring Tyne Daly, began its life two years ago at the Kennedy Center. Local actor Clinton Brandhagen traveled with the show, and Ms. Daly, to Broadway.
