Theatregoers are liking what they’ve seen this summer. Not only was Capital Fringe a success, box office demand at three theatres this August have earned their shows extended runs.
You have just one more week to see Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at Studio Theatre. The company has announced its second, and final extension for the musical which Jayne Blanchard called “a fun, rude, in-your-face show.”
Keegan Theatre must close its summer hit, Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County, on September 8th to make room for its next production, A Couple of Blaguards. Tim Treanor described Osage County as a searing drama and a scalding comedy.
And at Olney Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors, is extended to September 9th, thanks to the outstanding performances by its leads Carolyn Agan, Bobby Smith and James Gardiner as Seymour.
