“The show must go on”, Brett Abelman of Beltway Drama Series just told us. Their final reading of Election Day Plays 2012: Fresh Plays For People Left Out of the Two-Party Race is tonight, Oct 30th at Busboys and Poets 5th & K, in DC.
Here’s more: “The young, the old, the poor; soldiers and inmates; greens, libertarians, socialists; minorities and immigrants. In the 2012 election, these and more have been left out of the national discussion. But their stories will be told in 6 new plays by local writers Brett Steven Abelman, Amanda Andrei, Juliana Avery, Zachary Fernebok, Malcolm Pelles, and Jenny Splitter.
It starts tonight, October 30th, at 6:45pm in The Cullen Room of Busboys and Poets, 5th & K (1025 5th Street NW), Washington, DC. $10 recommended donation at the door.
Note: we will probably have a shorter program tonight because a couple of our playwrights have been hurricaned away, but we are still going on!
