While the Nationals are away, the Washington National Opera will take to the field of Nationals Park for their popular live broadcast from The Kennedy Center. This year, on the jumbo screen, ball park audiences will see the Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein musical Show Boat, now playing through May 26th in the Opera House.

Gates to the ball park open at 5pm for M&M’S® Opera in the Outfield, now in its fifth year. Be sure to bring the kids for this family friendly event. Pre-broadcast, there will be photos with the living statue of Babe Ruth, dress-up fun with a special costume trunk, face painting, and dance demonstrations by Gottaswing.
The broadcast of Show Boat begins at 7pm.
Be sure to register in advance for a chance to win tickets to an evening at the Kennedy Center. Details are here.
