Signature Theatre holds is annual Open House this Saturday, August 3rd starting at noon. One huge thank you to all Signature fans, the one day event features performances every 15 minutes, master classes, food, the Signature Idol competition and, as night falls, ending with the grand Broadway on the Plaza closing concert.
There will be doubt that you are in the Tony Award winning home for musicals. Signature musicals stars will be singing songs from the Signature’s 2013/14 season including Miss Saigon, Crossing, Gypsy, Beaches and The Threepenny Opera. The lobby will be filled with the sounds of the Sondheim Songbook, a tribute to Kander and Ebb, and classic and contemporary Broadway Songbooks.
Signature Divas features two performances by Madeline Botteri, Carolyn Cole, Felicia Curry, Erin Driscoll, Natascia Diaz, Sherri L. Edelen, Kellee Knighten Hough, Donna Migliaccio and Nova Y. Payton. Broadway star Carolee Carmello sings her favorite songs. And Signature hasn’t forgotten the children. A Family Cabaret is being held at 2:45pm.
While classes and conversations stir audiences inside the theatre, outside on the Plaza, local bands play, leading up to the grand finale on the Plaza around 8:30pm when Broadway and DC area performers join with the winner of the afternoon’s Idol competition for a closing concert.

$20 off to all performances of Miss Saigon, which opens August 15th, and half price tickets to Signature’s 2013/2014 season, beginning with the November production, Pride in the Falls of Autrey Mill. These deals are available only at the Signature box office, August 3, which is open from noon til 9:30pm.
