Nominees for this year’s 30th Anniversary Helen Hayes Awards will be announced tonight, Monday, January 27th, from the stage of the National Theatre, and, as they did last year, theatreWashington will host a live webcast of the event, starting at 7:20 pm.

The nominations are for professional productions staged in our area during calendar year 2013. This year the Helen Hayes Awards judges assessed 198 eligible productions, nominating 27 categories of performance and production excellence. Hosting the announcement will be theatreWashington Board Member Glen Howard. Guests at the National Theatre tonight may well find themselves interviewed on camera for the audience watching from home.
