Perform where you’re planted– you don’t have to tell that to NextStop Theatre. Located in an office park in Herndon, VA, NextStop may not boast as storied a location as other D.C. area theatres, but after 25 years of performances, they have established themselves, first as a topnotch community theatre and now as a professional company. Adjacent dining options in the nearby Reston Town Center and historic downtown Herndon make the trip all the easier. Here are some restaurant ideas to get the planning started for your next visit to NextStop.

A Taste of the World
A Taste of the World combines a smattering of ethnic cooking (Filipino, Thai, Indian and Mexican) into a wide-ranging menu pleasing to all tastes. Their lumpia is considered a mastery of the form. Neighbor to NextStop, A Taste of the World situates itself for an easy dine and dash. If short on time, fill up at Taste with something well-spiced, well-priced and make it in time for curtain call.

Tavern 64
With high rises and gridded streets, Reston Town Center takes on the appearance of a transplanted city block. Pass the Clyde’s and J. Crew and you will need to recheck google maps to make sure you’re not in Georgetown. Reston Town Center takes on an urban feel not just in looks but in substance meeting the dining expectations of a full-fledged city. Tavern 64 Regional Kitchen in the Hyatt Regency Reston numbers as one of Town Center’s highlights. Stressing the local, Tavern 64 crafts a menu of regionally sourced American and Southern cuisine. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails at the well-lit marble bar or take a meal outdoors on the generous patio.

Thanks, Alice. We’ll try it for sure when we see Kiss Me, Kate.
Try Chopsticks. It is a new Japanese / Chinese restaurant in the same plaza as NextStop theatre (135 Spring Street Herndon). The food is fabulous, service fast and friendly and you only need to park once then walk to the theatre
