I’m Eddie. Eddie Lounge. And I’m a lounge singer.
I had been a retired lounge singer. No longer. Now, I’m back at the Fringe, baby, and I couldn’t be happier.

Capital Fringe has been good to me since its launch ten Fringes ago. Me and my band the Cosmos loved lounging at our sold-out shows in the first Capital Fringe and we had a blast crooning at the second Fringe, garnering DC Theatre Scene’s Five-Fringe review.
And then… I retired. Did a little (lounge) consulting here, hit the links with my rhinestone putter there… It was nice not being stopped by people wanting to touch the sequins and all that, but I missed the music. I missed the band. I missed the audience.
And so… it turned out mine was more of a “Cher-I’m-Not-Really-Retired-Look-I’m-Back!” retirement.
And I *am* back with my guilty pleasure mash-up of music, fun and sequins. Not just me – I’ve got the whole band back together from 2006’s first Fringe– Mo Heeto on keys, my brother Davey Lounge on percussion, Gina Tonic on back-up-vocals, and Vern Mouth, Gina’s brother, on bass. And since I always go big or go home – and I’ve already been home – I’ve added Jim Rickey on guitar and some new guy on sax, he’s French – Guy Nouveau, that’s right. My old mentee-turned-rival Rico Bubbly (he goes by Bublé now) may even stop by. To herd all of us lounge cats, I’ve roped in director Walter Ware III (a.k.a. Bar Ware), Signature Theatre’s resident casting director/artistic coordinator.
Our all-new show, The Eddie Lounge Reunion Tour: The Lounge Awakens, has groovy music, laugh-out-loud fun, and – dare I say it – heart. And since I want you there, please buy your tickets today. We had great sold-out shows in the mid-aughts, but sold-out shows are only fun if you have tickets to them.
So much has happened since our debut at the First Capital Fringe: Facebook and Twitter. The iPhone. The Obama Presidency.
But you know what hasn’t changed? Lounge still rocks.
With a song in my heart and a martini in my glass,
Eddie Lounge
