Today and tomorrow (Sept 23 and 24) the visit of Pope Francis will draw hundreds of thousands of people to the city. Expect intermittent street closures, parking restrictions, bicycling restrictions and changes to public transportation.
All of the theatres we queried will be open.
Best advice for getting around is to plan in advance and allow yourself plenty of additional time to catch those matinee and evening curtains. Metro, your best travel choice over the next two days, has added additional service mid-day and late evenings but be prepared for delays and security restrictions.
