With the city of Washington still cleaning up from the weekend’s historic storms and even the Federal government closed for Monday, January 25, the Washington theatre community will need to hold its collective breath for another week.theatreWashington announced tonight that the reading of the nominees for the 32nd Helen Hayes Awards, originally scheduled for this Monday, has been rescheduled for Monday, February 1st.
The invitation-only crowd of theatremakers, Helen Hayes judges and press will gather in the Helen Hayes Gallery of the National Theatre at 7pm to learn who the nominees will be for the “Helen” and “Hayes” awards.
Look for the complete list to be reported here around 9 pm that evening.
The Helen Hayes Awards ceremony will be held this Spring, as always. Date and place yet to be determined, according to the theatreWashington announcement.
