The Wonder of Will, a season long celebration of the Bard by the Folger Shakespeare Library will culminate with a celebration of the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare (and the 452nd anniversary of his birth) on Saturday, September 23, starting at noon.
The Wonder of Will: Sharing Shakespeare Stories will be an hour-and-a-half presentation from a diverse collection of celebrities, who will describe their connection with the Bard through performances and personal stories.
Among the presenters: Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and actor (Harold and Kumar) and government official (Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement) Kal Penn, the great playwright Octavio Solis, Columnist Clarence Page, and DC Public School Chancellor Kaya Henderson.
The presentation will run from noon to 1.30 on Saturday in the Paster Reading Room. You can watch the live broadcast on C-Span 2’s Book TV. A call-in show with Folger’s Michael Whitmore and Indiana University Shakespeare scholar Ellen MacKay will follow.

Have you noticed? We’re been celebrating Will here this week as well:
We talked with Reduced Shakespeare Company about their long lost Shakespeare play
In New York city, it’s all about the death scenes
Kelly McCorkendale loved Chesapeake Shakespeare’s bloody Macbeth
Robert Schneider suggested we clear the boards and give some other playwrights a break
Happy 4 0 0, Will!
