Update: This contest is closed, but we have another good one for you next week.
You’ve probably seen Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew before. Maybe many times before. But we guarantee you’ll never seen it like it’s being staged at Shakespeare Theatre Company.
From STC: “Spilling from the stage into the lobbies and the street, Director Ed Sylvanus Iskandar’s production presents a provocative new approach to The Taming of the Shrew and an utterly unique audience experience.”
Much more than just a gender switch for the novelty of it, STC says the production, “uses an all-male cast to examine the fluidity of identity, the authenticity of performance and the economics of love in one of Shakespeare’s most notorious texts.”
First photos show absolutely stunning sets and costumes.
Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening, American Psycho) has created songs for the show.
Read and listen to more about this Taming of the Shrew.

When I’m going to the Kennedy Center, my favorite restaurant is District Commons.
When going to Shakespeare Sidney Harmon, favorite restaurant is Rasika.
When I go to Shakespeare Theatre Company at Sidney Harman Hall, Rasika is the rage for me. An Italian piazza with vino before Taming of the Shrew- sounds fab. But after spits and spats, splits and splats, spice is nice. After Taming open rehearsal (loved it!), rehearsed dining at Rasika and they served it up right. Plus, I met Jocelyn and Sam. I’d go back. (Not that I’ve abandoned 701. What happened to the mosaic tile tables at Jaleo?)
When I’m going to The Kennedy Center, my favorite restaurant is Bodega.
When I’m going to Studio Theater, my favorite Restaurant is Milk Bar,
