Hi, Arturo. I liked the *Hamlet* at Shakespeare Theatre Company, which gave us a different sort of Danish Prince than I’m used to seeing, but your tastes may vary. I recommend you go to the opening page and hit “Find Your Show” on the upper right. You’ll see an array of shows and, in the right-hand side, some filters. Go to “Date Range” and put in February 16, 2018 (Just put it in the start date; you don’t need to put it in the end date). It will show 35 productions running on that date. You can apply some other filters, such as price range, location, and genre to get a more narrow selection.
Aside from *Hamlet*, I’ve not seen any of the shows, but I intend to see *Handbagged*, *The Great Society*, *Familiar*, *The Farnsworth Invention* and *The Raid* because they seem intriguing, or I like the playwright or the company or the actors. And I might see some others, too.
Good luck. I hope you see something you enjoy — and then write a comment to the review!
Tim
Dear Tim,
Any cultural event you may recommend in DC on February 16, I will be on a business trip
and it is my only available night.
Mr. Epstein, you can search by date if you click the area which says “click to sort by date” at the top of this page. That will array the many shows offered by the area’s large professional theater community by date, and it should be relatively easy to find a show in the time frame you are contemplating.
If you’re coming to DC in the near future, you might also consider clicking “find your show” at the landing page’s top right. This will get you a more narrow array of shows, all of which either are open now or will be opening soon, and you’ll be able to click those shows and find out some more details about them.
I hope you and your family have a great time in DC, and see some fabulous shows.
Regards,
Tim Treanor
This website would be IMMENSELY More valuable if it supported searching by DATE rather than forcing users to scroll down the far too long list. I’m going to be in DC area for one weekend and want to take my family to a suitable show. It was VERY hard to search by looking over the whole very long list.
