New Orleans performer Claudia Baumgarten has had a 10 year romance with the writings of journalist, critic, poet and famous member of the Algonquin Round Table, Dorothy Parker.
After having read almost every word written by or about Mrs. Parker, Ms. Baumgarten composed the solo show Wit & Wrath: The Life & Times of Dorothy Parker, highlighting her fascinating life and her memorable work. Having performed it at several New Orleans festivals, she makes her debut at Capital Fringe.

Claudia Baumgarten has always harbored a passion for cabaret, and has a strong history of musical performance in New Orleans. She can often be found at her shop Miss Claudia’s Vintage Clothing & Costumes on Magazine Street in New Orleans.
She performs with MISS CLAUDIA & The Delicious Jazz Band, offering a set of songs centered around man’s (and ladies’) second greatest pleasure – FOOD!
