Solas Nua’s twisty tale, The Smuggler, quickly sold out its run in the Allegory Bar at Eaton DC. Rex Daugherty is still mixing drinks there as Tim Finnegan, the bartender with a shady past through October 6, but if you want to see it, but don’t already have tickets, you’re out of luck.

In our review, we wrote “Extend it, please!” and Solas Nua has done just that by moving it to the brand new bar in the lobby of the newly renovated Round House Theatre. There’s close-in seating for only 30 – 40 patrons, and Finnegan will be there mixing his custom drinks for them (1 alcoholic drink or 2 non-alcoholic drinks come with the ticket price.)
The show runs from Nov 1 – 10. Tickets went on sale this morning. With only 7 performances, we expect those seats at the bar to sell at close to Hamilton speed. Folks are always thirsty for a good tale.
