Mar 24 – Ford’s Theatre has re-scheduled Guys and Dolls, originally scheduled for March, 2020. The production will be staged Spring, 2021. The musical Man of La Mancha, originally announced as the spring 2021 production, will be postponed to a future season.
Mar 19 – Theater J has canceled the run of Becoming Dr. Ruth.
Mar 19 – Round House Theatre has canceled the remainder of its 2019-2020 season. This effects Charles Mee’s Big Love, Rehana Lew Mirza’s Hatef*ck. As previously announced, Cost of Living by Martyna Majok will be produced in September, 2021.
Mar 18 – Arena Stage closes all productions for its 2019-2020 season. Celia and Fidel, August Wilson’sSeven Guitars and Toni Stone have been postponed to the 2020/21 Season. Theresa Rebeck’s Enlightenment, Mike Daisey’s The Change and Lynn Nottage’s Crumbs from the Table of Joy will be scheduled as part of Arena’s 2021-2022 season.
Mar 18 – Edward Daniel’s Monologue Madness, the actor’s competition, originally scheduled for March, will be held June 29 at The Kennedy Center.
Mar 17 – Sam and Dede, or My Dinner with Andre the Giant, will not be performed as planned this month. Washington Stage Guild will move it to next season.

Mar 15 – Toby’s Dinner Theatre announced that Kinky Boots is canceled. New dates will be announced for Shrek the Musical.
Mar 15 – Quotidian Theatre has canceled the run of Ghosts, originally scheduled to open April 3rd. Their next production, The Day Emily Married will open in July.

March 14 – At Everyman Theatre, Queens Girl: Black in the Green Mountains is temporarily suspended. New dates will be April 15 – May 10. Cry It Out and Berta, Berta will be performed in a new voices festival this summer.
March 14 – Arts on the Horizon has canceled its spring performances of By the Seashore. Plans are to produce the show this summer.
March 14 – The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) will close on March 15 at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company.

Performances of Guys and Dolls is expected to resume from April 6 to May 20.
