Rebecca and Becca in Space, the space comedy created during the coronavirus stay-at-home orders by Rebecca Wahls and Rebecca Ballinger, returns for Season 2 with a special launch party tonight at 5pm.

In Season 1, it’s 2033. Rebecca (Wahls), alone on Space Station Beta and Becca (Ballinger), aboard her space ship, connect through a telecast beamed to earth to teach science to grammar school students. The lessons never go as planned, to the delight of thousands of comedy-starved fans of the series. Rebecca and Becca in Space ended with episode 9, a cheery Christmas special as the two anticipate their imminent return to earth.
We called the 5 minute or less shows, in which the duo waste no time getting down to the laughs, “SNL without the boring parts.”
As Season 2 debuts today, we find Rebecca and Becca still in space a year later. The government, it turns out, favors military over scientific missions. Joining Wahls and Ballinger are Deidra LaWan Starnes, Karen Vincent, and Joshua Simon; comedians Keenan Gibson (LA), Julie Kann (NYC), Gabby Thom (Chicago) and the return of Kira Omans (LA) as Liu Yang.
The writers promise a lot of space antics in Season 2 as Rebecca and Becca train their rescue team, plan an astronaut party, and call Becca’s 103-year-old grandma on her birthday.
