About this event:
Over the course of an unexpected parent/teacher conference in a 5th grade classroom, a mother and her son’s teacher battle over the circumstances that led to Gidion’s tragic death. As the story unravels, the “truth” becomes increasingly complex and alarming.
Was he a bully? A victim? A protector? Or, was his imagination too powerful for the adults around him?
“Gidion’s Knot is a story of irredeemable grief. It is a story about the fragility of childhood, and whether it is the duty of parents to protect their children or to let them flower. It is a tale about artistic freedom, and whether it can have limits, and if so, what those limits are. In short, Johnna Adams’ genius play is about what it is to be a human being in a dangerous and sinister world.”
It’s as simple as it sounds. An hour before every show, a majority of our tickets will be available at whatever price you want to pay, first-come, first-serve. YOU set the price. YOU decide what a fair price is in exchange for good theatre. You determine what you can pay. If that’s a dollar, you are more than welcome. If you are willing to pay more to help defray the costs of making theatre, that’s great too!
If you want to guarantee your seat to a particular performance, you can purchase a ticket for $20-25. Advanced tickets can be purchased online or by calling our box office.
We will only sell a limited number of tickets in advance to ensure that each performance has ample PWYW availability.
