About this event:
A lovely and lyrical reminiscence by a great American artist about his coming of age in Depression-era Alabama. Abandoned by his parents at age 7, he was taken in by a kindly elderly cousin named Miss Sook, who called him Buddy and became his best friend in all the world.
Holiday Memories is beautifully drawn from two beloved short stories by Truman Capote, “A Christmas Memory” and “A Thanksgiving Visitor,” adapted for the stage by Russell Vandenbroucke. A tender look back at a time when friendship seemed forever and all of life was ahead, Holiday Memories offers a richly theatrical occasion to reflect on our own fleeting youth.
