About this event:
Bread & Puppet presents a new work written and directed by founder Peter Schumann. This musical and dark clown-show features cardboard horses, an anti-extinction angel, proletariat broom dancers, a 100 watt light bulb, a ship of fools, and a swinging brass band: all of whom are urging the Not-Yet-Existing-Upriser-Masses into reality.
This show is appropriate for all ages, but may be more interesting for children ages 10 and up.
Bread & Puppet Theater is an internationally recognized company that champions a visually rich, street-theater brand of performance art filled with music, dance and slapstick. Its shows are political and spectacular, with huge puppets made of paper maché and cardboard. Founded in 1963 by Peter Schumann on New York City’s Lower East Side, The theater has been based in Northeastern Vermont since the early 1970s. www.breadandpuppet.org
Tickets for the show are a $10-$15 donation. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
