Live Garra Theatre says:
No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre, a one-act with three damned souls brought together to live out eternity in the same room — dispirited by impoverished livelihoods and bolstered by material affluence; a place where misery loves company, somewhere over the inferno.
A conceptual look at heaven and hell on earth; each of us locked inside our tribal communities forever, living-in separate realities.
In this adaptation, the characters are made present-day and struggle to understand a world that escapes them; realizing their differences, becoming aware of their biases and the grotesque way their image is perceived by one another. We are all intrinsically linked and no one gets out alive. No escaping the fact that hell is other people” — the direct consequences of humankind’s ruthless pursuit of life, liberty, lust and love, even in the here-after.
