A young black quarterback resists the expectation that he represent a people instead of himself–and play a sport that has been clearly rigged against him. When his entire team disappears, he must choose whether to fight his battle alone or accept new and unlikely allies. The production combines live action and video projections of absurd commercials, biased media accounts, and a visitation by the former quarterback who mysteriously “retired” just before the game.
