One Day Open Audition January 3rd
Here’s your chance to help give a talented young performer their big break. Arena Stage is holding open casting for the role of Yolanda in their upcoming revival production of Regina Taylor’s musical Crowns (Mar 27 – Apr 26). The Finding Yolanda Casting Search is looking for an African American woman, age 16 – 24, who can sing, dance and act. Professional experience not required.
“The Washington metro area is brimming with talented performers, and Arena knows that with Yolanda we can embrace a different way to find a fresh young artist who has been ‘under the radar,’” comments Artistic Director Molly Smith. “We plan to shine a spotlight on this homegrown talent.”
The open audition takes place Saturday, January 3rd from 8 am to 8 pm at the Lincoln Theatre, 1215 U Street, NW, Washington, DC. Anyone is invited to sit in on the tryouts from 9 am to 3 pm.
