Ghost-Writer, Michael Hollinger’s story of a Victorian novelist’s secretary who continues to complete his novel after the novelist has passed on, will be extended until June 16, MetroStage Artistic Director Carolyn Griffin announced yesterday.

The playwright will be in attendance at the 5 pm performance on June 1, and will remain after the show to participate in a talk-back session with the audience, Griffin revealed.
The production features Susan Lynskey as the secretary whose ability to complete the novelist’s sentences for him gets the ultimate test after the novelist dies; Paul Morella as the dynamic novelist; and Helen Hedman as his take-charge wife. DCTS reviewer Jayne Blanchard gave the play a Highly Recommended rating, calling Ghost-Writer an “achingly subtle romance where a mere touch on the forearm is as burning as a caress and conversation is the most beguiling form of foreplay.”
Ghost-Writer is onstage thru June 16, 2013 at MetroStage, 1201 North Royal Street, Alexandria, VA. Tickets or call 703-548-9044.
