Measure for Measure is not a play that deals in easy answers, but Jonathan Munby’s new production at the Shakespeare Theatre makes no problem of losing yourself in a night of spectacle. When a pair of strippers in nun’s habits open their robes and spin their tasseled breasts, it’s hard to think about your groceries.

Into the Woods filming begins
The movie adaptation of the beloved Stephen Sondheim musical Into the Woods began shooting on Wednesday in England. Already promotional stills and footage are appearing on the web to promote what Disney hopes will be the big hit of the 2014 Christmas season.

How’s this for an actor demonstrating stunning range: Bruce Randolph Nelson’s next project is playing the driven, intense (eventually suicidal) artist Mark Rothko in John Logan’s Tony-winning play Red. He jumps into that shortly after finishing up his current gig, playing Capt. Jeffrey Spalding, the Groucho character, in the Marx Brothers’ comedy Animal Crackers.
