Perfecting the Kiss is a backstage comedy that’s a worthy successor to Noises Off. What Noises Off accomplishes in two acts, Perfecting the Kiss pulls off in an hilarious 80 minutes, with no need for a two story set or turntable. 

Perhaps more than any other show at this Fringe, 52:15 challenges its audience to reconsider one of its core beliefs. The 100th Monkey Theatre Ensemble’s mix of traditional, surreal, and psychical performance is impressive, but the show falls miles short of justifying an empathetic take on a pedophile.

Unscripted is an apt name for an improvisational performance.  The show is performed by two members of the improv company VI Lenin.  While Unscripted demonstrates their skill and offers some laughs, this Capital Fringe offering suffers from the high degree of difficulty of the long form of improv.
